It is with great sadness I report the death of Takao Saito, who has succumbed to pancreatic cancer at age 84. Saito was the creator of Golgo 13; a groundbreaking manga that was first published in 1968 and has inspired numerous adaptations in both anime and live-action formats, with the manga itself still in publication today.
I wish the best for Saito's friends, family and colleagues at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
